The squat is such an amazing exercise that targets so many muscles! But they can be a bit boring and feel repetitive at times.
Here are 10 of my favorite ways to spice up the basic Bodyweight Squat.
Tips & Reminders:
Always get exercise clearance from your bariatric surgeon or doctor before trying any new exercise!
STOP if you feel pain, dizziness, nausea, or chest pain.
Do what YOU can. Start slow. You can always do more later!
Listen to your body. Hold off on exercise if you're feeling sick or very tired.
Sip water before, during, and after all exercise.
Pay attention to your heart rate and breathing rate. Focus on taking deep even breaths and rest when you need to catch your breath!
